weekend plans

I just had cereal. It was homemade and fun to eat, but it probably sounds overwhelmingly healthy and boring to most: raw cut oats, raw sunflower seeds, sliced almonds, fresh blueberries, and a thinly sliced banana with skim milk. Very very yummy. It's like Alpen or Muslix without the bad stuff, like wheat flakes and dried fruit.

Today is laundry day. Tonight, I see friends.

Tomorrow I go to Milton for cliff exploring in ritual fashion. Tomorrow night, I will probably stay in with [info]optimystik while [info]misslynx is doing priestessly things, wishing that we had enough $$ to go to FM all dressed up like satyrs and nymphs and such.

Sunday... is potentially a brunch with imps and potentially Folsom Fair North. And potentially staying at home because I'm tired of being reminded how broke I am.

And now, to launder!

i ended up frying a banana. it was the first time i'd ever tried doing that, and it didn't turn out how i had hoped. I think it would be better if i coated them with almond flour or something because they got all mushy 'cuz of the sugars.

at least i still have one plantain left from last week. it's still mostly yellow, though.

oh oh! and i made turkey meatballs last night, and they were soooooooooooo gooooooood!! can you have tomato sauce? someday, when we live in a place that has a real kitchen with room for my table, there will be a grand dinner with wonderful nummy food for everyone. everyone.

see you tomorrow!

bananas n plantans both get mushy if the oil isnt hot enouf or the slises are too thick. we think thin slises in realy hot oil works the best n they come out all crispy. but then you have to be careful not to burn yourself or to let the slises pile up or they stick to each other!

n then when theyre done (they are best if slitly burned we think!) they have to drain on ptowels so they dont stay oily n if theyr cooked hot enouf n long enouf n the slises are thin enof then they are CRISPY. :)

If you had said "with soy milk" I would be salivating right now.

soy milk would go REALLY well with that. ugh. I miss soy milk. I had a hideous experience with a particular brand (president's choice, I think) -- it made me really sick, and I've been afraid to try it again.

hey, when're you starting school? I'm really excited for you!
